Executive Director

Paul “PK” Kent

Paul Kent is the visionary Executive Director behind the disAbled Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to driving impactful change within the disabled community. His journey of advocacy and transformation began on December 1st, 2020, when he underwent a pioneering bilateral below-the-knee amputation procedure known as the Ewing Amputation. By participating in Dr. Matthew Carty's groundbreaking clinical study at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Paul effectively ended a decade-long, life-threatening health crisis.

With a distinguished career in the financial services sector, Paul held senior leadership positions at Jefferies and Company, including overseeing US Equity Sales and Trading. Following his retirement from Jefferies, he provided strategic guidance to emerging investment banks and founded Idlewood Capital Partners, which supported first-time fund managers. Paul's connections with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices led him to engage deeply in the social impact realm. In 2018, he merged his capital markets expertise with philanthropic advisory services, pioneering a new approach to advising on gifting, granting, and impact investment while executing strategies for social good.

Drawing from his professional acumen and personal journey, Paul has developed an innovative model exclusively focused on addressing the obstacles confronting the disabled community. His leadership and vision continue to inspire and drive forward the mission of the disAbled Life Foundation, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

Join us on this unforgettable journey that challenges perceptions, champions inclusivity, and celebrates the extraordinary capabilities that lie within every individual.
An eight-episode TV series, Challenge Accepted (WT), viewers are taken on a unique journey across the United States, where six teams of two face a series of challenges designed to test their limits while highlighting the strengths borne out of their diverse abilities. Each team is comprised of a person living with a disability and a teammate of their choosing, creating a powerful dynamic of partnership, resilience, and mutual support.
